Are caffeine and pregnancy really such a bad combination?
We hear so many different studies and ideas being promoted about caffeine by the media, so how do we know what’s true? Caffeine and pregnancies can be bad combinations in certain ratios. Although you do not have to cut caffeine from your diet completely, you should cut back on it to some extent.
Caffeine And Pregnancy Can Be Bad But Not Always. Having over 300 milligrams per day of caffeinated drinks and food can be harmful. This is approximately the amount you would get from two or three cups of coffee or six cans of soda.
When considering caffeine and pregnancy, do keep in mind, however, that the amount of caffeine in a cup of coffee depends on the strength of the coffee.
You don’t have to cut caffeine completely out of your diet; you can still take trips to Starbucks and make your morning cup of Folgers or Maxwell House, but while you are pregnant you should be more careful.
If you are pregnant but drink coffee mostly for the smell in your house and feeling of warmth, you may want to choose a decaf version of your favorite coffee.
Decaffeinated coffee may not give you that extra kick start, but you will still get to feel that warmth and comfort from a morning cup of your favorite coffee blend.
Drinking coffee is one of my life’s greatest pleasures. There are a variety of reasons for my feelings on the subject. To some extent, I just love drinking coffees of all shapes and sizes. But on the other hand, I love the taste of the caffeine and I love the friendly, relaxed environment of coffee houses.
Drinking Coffees – The Caffeine Rush
In our busy lives, we often don’t get nearly as much sleep as we need, especially in college. I never started drinking coffee until I only slept two hours a night and studied (and played) for 22 hours a day. I began my addiction at a local coffee house much like Starbucks, where I drank coffee almost every day.
And it has continued over the years with my buying a coffee machine and drinking all brands such as Folgers, Millstone, or Maxwell House. I drink those coffees every day. Sometimes I drink decaf coffee, but I still love that caffeine rush.
Coffee Houses – Food, Fun, and More
Although I make drinks in own coffee machine, I still love going out and meeting friends at coffee houses every once in a while for a drink. The relaxing atmosphere makes it a great place to unwind after a long day.
At a coffee house, I get to have my all time favourite coffee drinks with none of the making. We all drink coffee for different reasons, but we all recognize this as one of our favourite things to do.
